Tell SCDOT and the lawmakers of South Carolina that we, the residents of James, Johns, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands and many other Charleston neighborhoods, want to see I-526 completed! Our islands are amazing places to call home. However, more people are calling them home than ever and our roads are overcrowded. Charleston is a growing city, and our roadways need to be built to absorb all the new traffic. It is an issue of safety, planning for our futures and quality of life for island residents.

One hundred people are officially demanding that SCDOT stop ignoring our traffic crisis. This is just the beginning for the bureaucrats who think they can keep trapping us on these islands.

Traffic is horrendous in west Ashley due to all the islanders having to get off 526 and travel the same streets as west Ashley folks just to get to the islands. Help elleviate there traffic.
I live in the heart of johns island and this interstate needs to be finished! Use the money were going to spend expanding I26 near Summerville for the new Volvo plant! That can wait, we've been waiting long enough!
For those of us who live on the islands, the completion of I-526 isn't simply a matter of convenience or eliminating excessive time spent in traffic. It's also a matter of safety and of the devastating prospects about what could happen to us in an emergency evacuation situation. We need I-526!
We are so over due to get this road finished.I live on Johns Island and it is horrible to get on and off. Used to be only during "rush hour" but now it seems to be a " parking lot" at any time of day.
Either approve the extention and start construction or put a freeze on any future new permit for new housing construction. This week, demonstrated how dangerous the existing infustructure is for the population affected by not having the 526 construction plan completed.
I live on Johns Island - this is necessary to save property value and our collective sanity travelling on and off the island.
Enough !!!! The number of cars continues to grow and the roads can't take it. We need relief!

I live on wadmalaw island and I have been in the gridlock on John's island multiple times due to traffic from having only one way on and off of johns island. It is absolutely ridiculous and extremely unsafe if some were to have an emergency. 526 needs to be finished, like yesterday!
