This project would create the worst nightmare of traffic chaos and traffic jams in the City. The area should be converted into a park.

There is a requirement of a good children park in the area, instead of building new units. I strongly oppose for the construction.

I strongly approve!! Will be great to have new affordable low rise homes in this area. It looks like the developer has received approval from OMB to begin construction so I eagerly anticipate shovel in the ground. This development will certainly be a great opportunity for people to live by the Humberwood ravine and not have to wait for existing homes to come up for sale! I suppose people in the neighborhood who already own homes oppose this new low rise development due to lowered property values. Tough luck!

That particular intersection is already dangerously overpopulated during rush hour. Any further development at that site is better utilized in building anything that does not put further strain on the local school or on the existing roadway.

The existing development is stretching the infrastructure already. The traffic at Humberwood and Rexdale is a nightmare especially since the Morning Star Drive overpass, the mall at the corner and the two huge condos were completed. As others have suggested, a park, skating rink, swimming pool or community centre or combination would enhance the neighborhood rather than making it less desirable. An Arborwood Drive resident

Under the City of Toronto Zoning Bylaw 569-2013, the site located on the northeast corner of Humberwood Boulevard and Rexdale Boulevard, and east of Highway 427, is zoned as RA (Residential Apartment). The City of Toronto has proposed the site to be used as a dwelling unit. As stated in Chapter 15 of the bylaw, other permitted uses can also be a Community Centre, or a park. My question is whether it is allowed under the bylaw to propose for the development of an ice-skating rink, or a similar recreational community centre, in the subject site, to support the Humberwood Community Centre with its ever-growing population. This recreational proposal would make good sense for strengthening the healthy growth of Humberwood and its surrounding communities, than by simply adding more residential products. Humberwood Boulevard has already undergone two similar residential projects in under three years, and a new condominium is also currently being built 2 km away on Queens Plate Drive. After having already experienced increased congestion from the abrupt addition of new residential units to the area each year within the past three years, I think it would be fair for the city to propose a gift to the community. A park or community centre for recreation would be a gift of strength and health for the existing residents, than having to experience again another crowding residential development steal away the essence of our well-characterized forest community. I strongly oppose the 'PLANNING APPLICATION FOR: 50 HUMBERWOOD BLVD' which proposes development of residential complex/units at 50 Humberwood Blvd.

This neighborhood is already subject to various types of severe pollution & congestion sources such as: Nearby Highways, major Roads, Airport & Airplanes thereby adversely affecting quality of life of the residents. Further development will add to congestion and traffic in this area further degrading the quality of life. This area requires preservation of natural plantation that exists around it and addition of parks than any further development. Therefore, by signing this petition the Residents say NO to this application and disapprove of further development and instead propose to: 1- Keep this area as is i.e. natural plantation; with improvement in its look through proper maintenance by city. OR 2- Convert this area (50 Humberwood) to a park, possibly, adjoining the Humber River woodlands.
