People should not get tickets for taking groceries to their rooms

I agree it is difficult for students and parents. My parents came to visit and parked and walked up to my room for max 10 minutes and came down to their car and they had a ticket.

this is ridiculous. I have never had to deal with this all my years at GCU until now and it is simply unreasonable. I would also like to note that GCU did not provide any notice about this new rule, they just started ticketing cars all of a sudden. To me that's really unfair... something needs to change. I literally have avoided going grocery shopping for the past month because I know it will be next to impossible to carry my groceries back to my apartment.

As a senior here at GCU I've never had a problem with tickets until this year. It is Arizona so the weather is almost always overly warm to the point if you are not fast your groceries go bad, and if you go too fast you have heat exhaustion. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen if a student passes out and needs to be addressed and changed immediately.

I definitely agree I literally left my car parked in a red zone for 10 minutes because I had to get stuff because my aunt was in the hospital. When I came back I had a $100 parking ticket and I couldn’t get it appealed . Really gcu it is not a fire hazard in front of Papago .

This needs to get done

I received a fine for this last year and I couldn’t appeal it because it was the end of the semester. Not only did I get one fine for parking in a no parking zone but an additional for parking at a red curb. First of all, I wouldn’t have to park at a red curb if there were five minute parking zones.

I 100% agree!

It's ridiculous that we can't park for 5 minutes to unload our stuff. It's a huge health risk to transport back and forth in the heat!

Couldn’t agree more. It’s sad that you get charged $100 dollars for putting groceries away for five minutes.

I support this!! Totally unreasonable to expect students in apartments especially to carry groceries and furnature such a long distance

I have $150 in fines for leaving my car for 5 minutes while helping my sister with her groceries. This has to end.

I agree 100% with this.

If we are going to have unscheduled golf cart services and garages further and further away from apartments, please allow us 5 minutes to drop off groceries and friends. Thank you.

I would prefer 15 min parking spots near the dorms
