Tomorrow's 4A and 5A games will be played on home sites instead of at Weber State. If you want the old format returned where 16 teams (8 games) play at Weber State or the E-Center, please sign this petition.

This petition's intent is not to affect the first round games played between 4th-5th place teams. These will remain intact.

Please support Utah high school basketball and the athletes by signing this petition and forwarding it on to as many peopls as you can!

Updates

March 2, 2010

I am gathering feedback from tournament coaches regarding the logistical impact of the current home site format. These responses are being compiled into a formal proposal for the UHSAA executive board to review next month.

Seriously? Weber State felt like a real tournament. This new way is boring.

The venue matters. High school gyms cant handle the crowds anyway.

its not state basketball if its just at some random high school gym. kids deserve the big arena experience.

The atmosphere at the E-Center was always the best part of the season. Bring it back!

MY SON WORKED SO HARD FOR THIS! THEY DESERVE TO PLAY ON A REAL COURT NOT A HIGH SCHOOL FLOOR.

bring back the state feel. playing at the local gym takes all the excitement out of it.
