The increased traffic over the last 30 years has made this change imperative.
What was a fairly quiet road is now a major commuter route.

This stretch is very busy, and I support whatever we can dot to keep people safe. I have tried to cross the road from the parking lot at Maple Park to the trail, and it is nearly impossible given the steady stream of traffic at high speeds. This seems like a reasonable action to take.

With so many children in the neighborhood a reduced speed limit on 19 and cross walks should be a must.

David and I are very concerned about the high speeds on 19. Even at the posted 45mph while passing the park is not obeyed. Once out of the 45 zone it is a "free for all". We are very concerned that we will be hit from behind when turning onto Ardmore in our vehicle or hit while on foot trying to access the park. Please consider reducing the speed as well as putting in much needed cross walks for the good of the community.

I have three small boys. We have stopped utilizing the trails at Baker certain times of the day because there are no crosswalks and the traffic is so fast and frequent. We have a tremendous number of small children in our neighborhood. Anything you could do to help make it safer, we would greatly appreciate!

Someone is going to get killed and the City is going to be liable. We live at 3505 Cty Rd 19 and the traffic is 65 mph plus. We are dealing with a small stretch from Loretto, where its 30 mph to Cty Rd 24 where is turns to 45, it should all be no more than 45 as that entire stretch is park on one side and residential on the other. And 45 mph is still too fast. With enforcement being what it is, people will still drive 55 or more. We have asked the HC Sheriff to monitor traffic. They put out a radar sign for a week. That's it.

I live directly on Cty Rd 19 where it is 55mph. I have a 7 year old son and a dog. We use this road to walk/bike to Baker and Maple parks, to walk the dog, to access the neighborhood behind us, etc. It can be quite unnerving to feel how fast the cars go whizzing by just playing in the front yard or collecting our mail, much less being on the road doing any of the above activities.
