Paris Hilton has knowingly broken the law multiple times, with photographic evidence readily available. There have been photos and videos leaked of her smoking pot (the most recent being at Coachella), snorting cocaine and popping Ecstasy. Then she was convicted several months ago for DUI, which she pleaded no contest to. She was never charged with anything until the DUI. For this she was sentenced to 36 months probation, a fine, was ordered to enroll in an alcohol education class and got her license suspended for 90 days. She has been photographed driving numerous times, while having her license suspended. Nothing has ever happened to her. She then got pulled over in late January and was told to her face, by the police, that her license was suspended, which she claimed not to know. She then signed a form stating they had told her this, and they let her off with a warning. In February she gets pulled over again - this time she was speeding and driving without her headlights on - WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE. They FINALLY arrested her for violating her probation. She also never enrolled for the alcohol education class. She had 21 days to do so. 3 months later she still had not enrolled. That itself is grounds for violating probation. A less famous or poorer person most likely would have been arrested long ago for all of the violations against their probation. Ms. Hilton seems to think that her fortune and fame can buy her out of this sentence. Paris has now started her own petition to Governor Schwarzenegger asking that she be granted a pardon. Why does she deserve to be pardoned She has shown no respect for the law and she continues not to. She broke the law, she lied, she ignored the law - and then she even showed up 18 minutes late to her court hearing last Friday. This petition asks Governor Schwarzenegger to show the people of the United States that no one, even a wealthy celebrity, is above the law in the State of California. This petition asks that Governor Schwarzenegger do everything in his power to ensure that Paris Hilton serve her full 45 day sentence.

I have been reading through the comments all day and it is just wild how many people have seen her driving around like nothing is happening. It feels like the rules just do not apply when you have a certain bank account balance which is honestly so frustrating to watch play out in real time.

SERIOUSLY. she has all the money in the world to call a cab or a driver and she still chooses to drive like that. she needs to be punished just like any other person.

its honestly ridiculous how she gets away with literally everything. if i did half of that stuff id be in a cell already. laws are for everyone not just the rich.

the entitlement is unreal. she signed a paper saying she knew her license was suspended and then kept driving anyway? put her away.
