You may not be aware, 43-45 Stayton Rd has submitted yet another planning application, this time to convert the property into 4 self-contained flats. These flats will be run by a company called ‘Supported Communal Living Ltd’ and will provide homes for people with mental health and/or learning disabilities who are exiting the Care Act 2014.
Their Planning Application does not state that 43-45 Stayton Road will be used for people requiring supported living/care in the community and should, therefore, not be considered due to its lack of transparency.
Although recognising the importance of supported living facilities, having one at the epicentre of our family orientated neighbourhood is unacceptable due to the high level of disturbances/nuisance it will cause day and night.
We also have major concerns over privacy, safety and security due to the proximity of the property to the neighbours and other local residents, many of whom have families. This has has not been considered.

I am against any extension to this property as the space is already so tight. It will be totally out of character to the rest of the neighborhood to essentially create a block of flats where once there was a semi detached house and the impact on privacy and community must be taken into consideration.
I have a serious objection to the proposed development for the reasons stated. I believe the lack of transparency regarding intentions, etc., shows too much already appears to be in process here, it is not fully clear and is 'under the radar' - which explains the past actions of the management. Nothing has changed.
I am totally against this planning application. This is a family neighbourhood with houses, not flats. There are so many flats in the borough with continuous building. This should remain a house. I agree with everything within the petition.
I am totally against this planning application and fully support any objection in turning this house into anything other that 2 separate houses.

As much as I empathise with the need for such housing, I don’t believe this is an ideal location for either residents or people who would be assigned to this housing. The administration of the current guesthouse (which would be the same people) haven’t in my opinion run this property with the community spirit and professionalism required to make this in any way ideal.
