We wish to reject the proposal by Houston White to build on the 40’ wide lot at 4264 Beard Ave N.

The house is out of proportion to the lot and neighborhood.  It stretches 2 stories tall from the front setback with to the alley with no permeable surface in the back yard creating watershed issues.  It will alter the line of sight and the across the fence neighborly feel we love about our community.

The city council’s plan to offer lots only to those who build larger expensive houses to increase revenue is contrary to the mission statement of Robbinsdale to replace homes with Quality, not size, in keeping with the character of the neighborhood.

The proposed house is not compatible with the surrounding homes.

We want the council to vote no for this proposed plan.

I spent the morning staring at the property lines again and honestly my head is spinning because how can they think a two story wall fits in that narrow space when it just ruins the whole light flow for everyone else on the block. The silence from the council is loud but it is also giving me time to dig into the planning documents and find the specific code violations that they seem to be ignoring in their rush to push this through.

I really thought this might just disappear into the void but looking at how many people actually care about the neighborhood character is honestly kind of shocking in the best way. Seeing all these people jump on board makes me realize that we are definitely not just imagining the scale problem with that lot and now we actually have enough steam to get someone important to look at the plans.

That lot is way to small for a house that big. Keep the neighborhood how it is please.

Just look at the lot size. It makes no sense to put a two story monster there. BAD IDEA.

So tired of the city trying to push these huge houses into spots where they dont belong. It ruins the whole look of the block.

Ridiculous. Way to big for the lot. It will feel like a cage for the neighbors next door.

No way this house fits the character of our street. Stop the revenue grab and listen to the neighbors for once.

Drainage is already a nightmare over there. Adding a massive slab with zero permeable surface is just asking for a flooded basement.
