This intersection has become extremely dangerous due to the high volume of truck traffic turning into and out of Park Lane due to the new Hilton Siding shopping centre, and also because of the increase in traffic using Hilton Avenue as Hilton Grows

This is a very busy intersection.There is continueous traffic coming and going, either into or out Park Lane,alot of traffic going towards Hilton Gardens or coming from Hilton Gardens. Plus there is a shopping centre right there with continueous traffic. In rush hour traffic is very congested and movement is very slow. A 4 way stop would definitely alleviate the congestion and allow the traffic to move faster.
This intersection has become a nightmare for residents trying to get to work in the mornings. In addition I have witnessed 2 near-accidents. It is also a danger to staff walking to work.
Very dfficult to get into Hilton avenue early mornings. Exceptionally dangerous with the Siding and non compliance from municipality regarding road safety for all considered. Pedestrians and drivers!!!!!
It will be too late once a serious accident/incident has caused adesth or debilitating injury. Furthermore the condition of Park lane leading to this intersection is in an appalling condition - further aggravated by the usage of delivery and other heavy duty vehicles using the intersection. Time to act is now. - NOT tomorrow!!
This is critical to the safety of the residents and staff who are employed in the local area. Hilton suffers with heavy mist and it makes the road unsafe and without this intersection having a robot it becomes a real danger.
Increased volumes of traffic in and out of Siding and Hilton Avenue necessitate some sort of traffic control.
A four way stop is needed as an interim measure whilst waiting for traffic lights to be installed.

Hilton avenue does need some attention with regards to traffic flow. I do not believe uMngeni is giving this proper attention. I feel robots would be a better solution. However, as an interim stop signs are a great short term fix.
