As local members of Latrobe valley, we use the Bush Reserves for Walking, Bike Riding, Horse Riding and much more, it is really disheartening seeing piles of dumped rubbish. it must be a burden for the council to have to clean it up. its all about first impressions. Latrobe valley is a tourist hub, 1 hour from the city, 1 hour from the snow and 1 hour from the beach.

Cleaning our Local bush reserves cost a lot of money, not to mention how much time it takes the council to clean up when they could be doing other things. its not just the cleaning that is loosing our council money its also the tourism. when tourists come to Latrobe Valley they want to see pristine bush reserves, not big piles of rubbish.

The bush is more then just trees, animals live there and humans do a range of activities there, seeing piles of rubbish is unattractive, not just that but the wind can pick up this rubbish, taking it into our waterways. This becomes more then just a issue in our bush Reserves, it also pollutes our oceans and rivers which is harming marine life.

After lots of Research we have come up with a cost effective solution, each year rates payers collect 4 tokens to have a free trip to there local tip.
