This is a waste of money. It is not needed. Better bus service would serve the needs of the community better.

Traffic is bad enough with two lanes on central.. All there will be is homeless junkies living on each of those benches on the terminals.. 4 lanes or No train.

Central Ave is the most congested street and to make it one lane either way would be a disaster!! Keep the 4 lanes. Its bad enough the city of Mesa is ruined!!

Light rail = 1) crime coming to the neighborhood. 2) long left turn wait times. 3) Two traffic lanes will lead to additional response time for police, fire and ambulances. Stop treating South Phoenix like an unwanted neighbor, every other area where light rail has been place has four lanes. So why is South Phoenix different?

I’m not in favor of the train in south phx... it will make a huge negative impact to this community. People walks thru central freely with no caos or worries that they can be injured. We have lived all of our life’s in this safe and peaceful community... and it’s very sad to see that they will come and destroy this peace within us... So I say no to the train....

Keep spreading the word! I do not agree with the route or expansion of light rail in South Phoenix, it will disrupt the culture and familial area with increased rent for families already living in the area.

I voted for the Light rail to come to South Phoenix. I did not vote for lane reduction on Central Ave. This will cause too much traffic congestion on Central Ave. Central Ave is one of the 3 main streets (7th St, Central Ave and 7th Ave) that directly connect us to downtown Phoenix without having to go to either 19ave or 24th street and loop back around. Safty is also a concern I have. The lane reduction will potentially slow EMT vehicles needing to use Central Ave to reach persons or families in need of an emergency.
