If we are encouraging our kids to walk to school than their journey must offer a reasonable amount of safety. A three way for such a busy crossing strikes me as a must!

I would have thought a cross walk would be safer than stop signs?? I too have a hard time crossing with my kids at collison/invermay which I believe has a 3 way stop. What ever happened to crossing guards in school zones anyway...wouldn't they be the most effective??

They also need more police and security at the stop sign between the two schools - rolling cars as well as Cara going right through 7 days a week

I'm in complete agreement with this. I cross this crosswalk multiple times a day, and I have witnessed first-hand how dangerous it is for both children and adults. Cars drive fast and do not slow down when the crosswalk lights are on. It is impertive for 3 stop signs to be put in place at this intersection to safeguard against a serious and/or deadly accident.

It is imperative that this intersection receives the appropriate 3 way stop signage it requires to keep all of the neighbourhood pedestrians safe.

Cars drive too fast along Faywood. A 4 way stop would slow down the traffic and pedestrians to cross more safely.

Stop signs and 40 km max only.

Agreed, there should def be a stop sign in front of the school where Gorman Park hits Bainbridge. That is also a nightmare to cross. One step at a time....

Ideally I would like to see three way stops at all intersections on Bainbridge between Faywood and Yeomans. Only 1 of 4 currently has a stop.

What a great idea! With all the traffic and schools in the area we need to keep our children safe.

It is a dangerous intersection with kids crossing. It is very hard to cross there safely.
