I am an Old South resident and I also work in the neighbourhood. This is not the location for this type of a service. A temporary shelter should not be on a quiet residential street with small families.

As an adjacent property owner, I oppose the plan for the proposed use 9f 345 sylvan at.

This is not the place for a homeless shelter or safe injection site (which the city has no right to support). Injecting heroin or any other ILLEGAL drug. IS AGAINST The LAW. There needs to be many public discussions on this proposed site. City council needs to be extremely transparent on this. I look forward to talking with my city councillor about this plan.

This is a necessary service but the location isn’t appropriate at all. A quiet residential cul-de- sac surrounded by young families makes no sense. This property also backs onto a huge green space, providing multiple entry points. The property is a crime incubator waiting to happen but a good developer could make a real positive out of it. The funds proposed for this could be better spent on an investment that A) isn’t within walking distance of of 2 public schools and multiple daycares B) isn’t directly across the street from a proposed multi-million dollar nursing home

I agree this does not seem like a safe thing to do with many children who are vulnerable

I have family that live in the proposed neighbourhood. A young family who picked that neighbourhood with the intentions of raising their children in a safe environment. Although I can appreciate that the majority of homeless people are of no threat, there is obvious concern for the few that are. Right now with drug addiction and violence at its highest, I think that there must be a better choice of location that would reduce the risk to young children.

I agree, not the proper place. Hopefully they will choose a more suitable location where other services are more readily available, because there is definitely a need

This is a beautiful neighbourhood in a well established area of town. No a place for a homeless shelter
