Not a good idea. Parking is hard enough.

31st Street is the core of entrance into Manhattan and to place bike lanes and create more congestion is not the answer. Finding a solution without hurting the small business owners by cutting off their livelihood is detrimental to their business. Please take all this into consideration. No bike lanes on 31 street! There’s no room! This street is congested as it is!

This will create a traffic nightmare. It bad enough now with all the double park car services. Can you imagine a bike lane

An already dangerous and difficult to navigate street will only be deadlier with a bike lane.

Accidents are going to increase, people are going to get injured, traffic is going to increase, business will close, and home owners won’t be able to pull in their driveway. This is a serious issue! You guys are crazy! Make the bicyclists pay taxes and insurance and then come talk to me about bike lanes

I am totally against the bike lanes. It will make traffic a lot worse and it will slow down the movement of the traffic. The lanes will get narrower and smaller which will cause the cars to move slower due to the lack of space. There won’t be enough parking space for the cars to park. This will widely affect the food truck businesses and it is totally not fair to ruin their daily income and lives just to make bike lanes. If bike lanes are made it will have a higher risk of pedestrians getting hit my bicyclists. Even if there are traffic lights for bicyclists, we all know that will not stop and keep on moving. There are handicapped individuals who want to cross the traffic lights but due to the bike lanes it will make it even harder when there is and on coming and going lane for the bicyclists. Pedestrians are at higher risk of danger and we all have seen cases where pedestrians have gotten hurt due to this. Last this will highly affect school district and the parents that drop off their children at school every day. Parents and school buses will not have ANY space to drop off their children in the morning and afternoon due to the bike lane. It is dangerous for children to cross the road and go to school because of the bike lanes. The school buses will not have room to park and pick up the students from school and also drop them off in the morning or during trips. This is a very important issue and there should not be bike lanes done. For the safety of our children, traffic movement, safety of the pedestrians we should prevent this from happening 100%.

Not only will hurt the businesses on the street but it will collect old pigeon droppings and then we have to pay to clean them that doesn't make sense

I do not want a bike lane. My clients have a hard enough time finding parking to come to my office
