The purpose of this petition is to convince the National Football League (NFL) and YG Entertainment to have 2ne1 perform the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans in 2013 or at Super Bowl XLVIII in New York City in 2014. After watching lack luster performances year after year, performed often by artists who are old enough to be the athletes parent or even grandparents, I knew the NFL needed to go a different direction. The clear direction is to head over seas and join the K-pop movement. Watch any of 2ne1’s videos or concert footage and it is easy to see how much better the 15 minuet halftime shows could be. Bom’s voice could fill any stadium, Minzy’s dance moves will enthrall everyone watching, Dara’s fresh and sweet sound will have even fan’s of the team that is behind smiling, and CL’s rapping and stage presence will captivate all. With a English album set to come out soon, they will be the perfect choice for the halftime show.
