Make our Goverment stand strong against whaling by supporting Sea Shepherd!
Hi there, I am a lover of the ocean and all that is in it and I'm disgusted that our government has not made a strong stand against whaling in the Southern Ocean. As we all know our government is too scared to act and potentially hurt trade deals with Japan, as a result though they are just sitting back whilst our world's whales are being inhumanely slaughtered.
My wish is to stop this inhumane act not only for the whales but so my grandkids and my great grandkids will be able to experience first hand the chance of seeing these beautiful creatures of the sea. As humans we have no control over the breeding of whales, and therefore their numbers, so they need to be protected! We need to make our government aware that we do not stand for this and that we want them to stand strong and support the likes of Sea Shepherd who are trying to make a difference. So please sign this petition and do your bit to help the Whales.

The stories shared in the comments regarding the protection of our oceans are both moving and necessary. I am currently working to ensure that the concerns expressed here reach the appropriate decision makers who have ignored this issue for too long.

It is clear that a significant number of people are deeply concerned about the future of our whales and the necessity of direct intervention. about time someone put pressure on them. hope this works.
Enough is enough. My kids want to know whales still exist and not just read about them in books. Do the right thing.
it is 2017 and we are still doing this? absolutely disgusting. stop the slaughter now.
Sea Shepherd are the only ones actually doing something about this. The government is gutless.

Whales have a right to live. Keep them out of our waters and away from those harpoons. Japan doesnt own the ocean.
