I am a resident of Maury County and want our County Commissioners to make this county a 2nd Amendment sanctuary.
We also need a Sheriff who will stand publicly with us on this important issue and oppse any attempt at state or federal tyranny.
Folks need to realize what our ancestry went through to form this Nation of ours. My ancestor left Northern Ireland, after the British forced the Scottish soldiers to resettle there in order that England gained a permeant settlement in Ireland. Those families chose to take the hazardous journey to the Colonies rather than remain in Ireland. My ancestor was a Captain in the Militia who fought with George Washington in the French and Indian War. His three sons were in the Militia and then Continental Army who fought with Washington also. He lost two sons in that War. One son resettled here in Maury County. That's the legacy under attack by those who oppose our Constitution as it is written and meant to convey. The very foundation of our Nation. Sacrifices of generations.
These are God given rights codified in our US Constitution. We should not have to state the obvious: that there is no legal infringement on our rights, but evidence shows that many politicians are not upholding their oaths of office, specifically when it applies to their duties to the Constitution, and that the citizens must impose our will upon those who are not listening. We want the strongest message sent to Nashville that we will not tolerate ANY infringement on our rights, not just 2A, but ALL our rights not delegated to government.
As a County Commissioner in Maury County, I fully support this effort 100%! I have requested this issue be placed on the February 4th Administration Committee agenda for discussion and action.

I’m enlisted in the military and grew up thin blue line, I’d be ashamed to call this mt home if they refused this
