26 & 30 Milbrook Road - Petition to the Medfield Conservation Commission

I've lived on Millbrook Rd. for over 35 years, and this is a spot I walk by every day. Putting up a house on this property would dramatically change the neighborhood - and not for the better. I feel like the owner is trying to shoehorn a house into these lots for one purpose - money. Please don't ruin this unique wetland area. I can almost hear the wildlife calling out "Don't build on me!"

Before our former Conservation Commission agent departed, she made a point of saying that the 100' buffer zone should never be breached. If this is what will happen with the proposed construction, our Conservation Commission should automatically deny the permit. Why are we as a town buying or accepting donations of land for conservation purposes only to turn around and approve non-conforming construction in the same area? The entire Mill Brook area needs protection, not destruction.

Opposed to this project which is on land has been taxed and assessed as non buildable since the developer has owned it.

Please preserve the wetlands-it is important for the neighborhood

Do not build on the beautiful wetland. It is wrong to destroy habitat and plant growth for the benefit of one person and the detriment of many including wildlife and wild flowers.

Wetlands must be preserved! Keep open space open!

I agree with all the other commenters. I also feel it is a betrayal of the Board to approve exceptions which impact current owners of property in the area. Making exceptions for a lot that wasn't qualified to have a structure built just to benefit one while detracting from the rest is wrong. By-laws and code may have changed for the lot in question, but the owner, at that time, had fair notice to take action before the laws took effect, or to sell the property. Changing the rules now to accommodate for the owner's inaction years ago should not be a burden placed on everyone else today.

Opposed to construction on what has been considered wetlands since building guide lines were created

This project would be a real detriment to the environment, with many native plants and animals affected. A house on that section of scenic road would be a blight. Please do not allow this project to go forward. I would be in favor of town buying for wetlands conservation purposes.

I am opposed to the proposed project at 26/30 Millbrook Rd. Thank you.
