To Microsoft (Skydrive Department),

I am signing this petition in the hope that you consider restoring my SkyDrive account to it's original 25GB quota. Many of us only sign up with Skydrive in order to take advantage of the great 25GB free storage space.

Some of us have been longtime loyal customers who have started out with Skydrive from day one and opted into the 25GB accounts only to find that when logged into the account 18GB seems to have dissapeared. Your support staff in the help forums explain that those longterm customers are able to get the 25GB by clicking on some link which none of us could find and had apparently expired. 

We where also told that we where notified of the reduced storage which i and many others can confirm we where not. All i personally got was a yellow bar at the top of the screen asking me to opt in which i did yet this did not save my 25GB yet i have been a loyal customer since you began and have introduced many people to skydrive, most of them right now have free 25GB accounts and only signed up in the last few years, i've had an account for 4-5yrs now and only have 7GB

I decided to create this petition after seeing the HUGE number of people posting onto the microsoft support forums about this issue, many of which have now left hotmail and skydrive forever. We have also been given conflicting information which does not make sense.

PLEASE considered restoring the accounts of those who sign this petition who where not notified about the reduction in size from 25GB to 7GB as we feel that this is very unfair to remove storage space without notification especially when important files may have been held on the servers.

At very least i hope that Microsoft can make an Internal investigation as to how this has happened and look towards restoring file space but also restoring faith in your company. This letter represents the views of thousands of other skydrive users....
