Sudbury is way behind in comparison to many cities, even some that have less than one third the population. Business hours should be up to the discretion of the business owner. In a diverse population with varying work schedules, the regulation of business hours is hurting the economy.

Working at the hospital can mean sporadic schedules and overnight shifts. Hospital workers should have the opportunity to stop at a grocery store to pick up something to make for dinner if they need to.

Mining is also a huge part of the community of Greater Sudbury. This means that over 4000 members of the community, working for Vale Ltd. alone, are deprived from certain luxuries and opportunities.

Counsel, get with the times. The regulation of business hours is both unnecessary and uncalled for.
