Open letter to St. Stithians and Sally James

It always seems to be a tiny core of radicals that drive these things. A placated majority doesn't help. That's why we have to mobilise people who are quietly opposed, but don't know how to push back.

I'm hearing more and more of that. There is a determined effort to depart from the things a school ought to do, in favour a toxic mix of extreme ideological brainwashing.

The speed and secrecy are two unacceptable elements. Signs of a radical element having seized control. Stakeholders appear all to have been taken by surprise.

Any theory based on an ideology around race or gender is exclusive of free thought, free speech and debate debate.

I am appalled by the lack of transparency and the speed at which these decisions were taken. Parents and students are stakeholders in the school and it appears as though our opinions weren’t asked for. It’s appears as if the school has been captured by a group pushing an agenda

Having had 5 children through the JP ,GP and BP I am very saddened to see what is happening at Saints!

I wholeheartedly support the contents of this letter. I am concerned that current discussions are with children who are not in the emotional space to manage this information and process it properly. Also, we chose St Stithians for its traditional culture and Christian-based ethos, which seems to be eroding in favour of fast-forwarding progressive society

I support the authors of this letter and hope that their concerns will be met with the mutual understanding that due to the graveness of this topic amongst unchartered territory, the outcomes may be detrimental to society, let alone just one child

I am deeply disappointed with the direction the school has taken. Myself along with many other old boys have decided we will not be sending our children to St Stithians

Saints has lost the plot! This is not the school we signed up for. This woke agenda is being driven by one or two members of staff! You need to have a serious rethink of the direction that you are taking the school in!

Deeply disappointed in the direction St Stithians is taking - the Founders would be deeply disappointed in how we are failing our youth leading them away from the Truth and possibly steering young people in a direction that they might never be able to return from

By all accounts there has been a mass resignation of the best teachers at the school. Head should take the blame as a fish rots top down.

This is so unconstitutional and unwise and counter to the rights of all children. Just stop it!!

The gender policies have no place in schools. The only objective is to create further division amongst staff' pupils and parents. It should be a criminal offense to subject children to gender reassignment theories and practices.

Massive worry how this is getting rolled out in the private school system.
