SIGN THE PETITION FOR 215 W75TH TO BECOME A NON-SMOKING, NO-VAPING, NO-INCENSE BURNING BUILDING

Do you smell cigarette, cigar, or pipe smoke seeping into your apartment from a neighbor? How about someone's strong incense? Are you getting headaches or sickness, or are you disgusted by the smell? Are your clothes, furniture, and fabrics absorbing these smells? Maybe not today, but what if your neighbor sells or rents, and your new neighbor smokes or burns incense? Would that bother you?

We have a noise policy at the Majestic Towers, why don't we have a non-smoking, no incense burning, non-harsh smell policy?

A 2019 report by the NYC Smoke-Free Housing Project estimated that 75% of luxury condos and co-ops implemented smoke-free policies. Studies also suggest a growing number of smoke-free rental buildings.

In 2013, New York City mandated that all residential buildings develop a smoking policy, though it didn't mandate specific restrictions. This likely contributed to increased awareness and potential policy adoption.
