We are in support and favour of having No. 211 Coffee House Inc. opening and operating as a coffee shop at 211 Avenue Rd. Toronto On, and give our full support to the Committee of Adjustment Hearing to vary the Pre-vailing By-Laws and Prevailing Sections Where Section 12 (2) 137 of By Law 438-86 States:
No person shall, within an area shown delineated by a heavy line on maps below, use land or erect or use a building or structure for the purpose of a restaurant, or take out restaurant or a caterer’s shop, a billiard or pool room, a club, a delicatessen or a place of amusement.
We are apart of the local community and believe having a coffee shop at this location will benefit everyone around.

I would love to see a coffee shop on this strip. This is a dead zone and retail shops in this area would be a great addition. Most people would be walking to this shop. Lots of condos and houses in the area. I fully support!
This is a non-sensical and archaic bylaw that runs completely contrary to our common goal of building a vibrant and innovative commercial strip along Yonge Street
I don't see the problem. There's parking on Avenue Road during legal times and I think a lot of her customers would be walking customers, including dog owners from the Ramsden off-leash dog park below her patio.
211 Coffee House will be a lovely addition to our neighbourhood. As a resident of Pears Ave., I know many neighbours on the street would love to have a lovely coffee shop next to Ramsden Park.
I want to support this coffee house for our neighbourhood. Local businesses create a certain vibe, welcoming environment. It helps making each visit a unique experience.
Infuriating that some group protecting private developer interests, was able to sink this woman into financial debt. Avenue Rd is already noisy due to traffic & apartment buildings. Seems like most residents would have welcomed a little coffee shop. Shame on those behind nuking this place.
Should it really be this hard to set-up a coffee shop in the 4th largest city in North America?

A 6-lane major road is not a place that should worry about traffic and noise from a coffee shop. If the traffic is an issue, ban cars from Avenue Road.
