We, the undersigned, are against the new Mckinley Tech dress code stating that all classes can wear maroon pants. Wearing maroon pants were a senior right and Tech tradition. We find it unfair that we waited three years to earn this right for it to suddenly be given to everyone. The maroon pants tradition allowed us to show that we been at Mckinley tech all the way to our senior year and that is an accomplishment. That is not an accomplishment for freshman, sophomores, and juniors because they hadn't made it that far yet. We are requesting that the dress code changes back to only Seniors being allowed to wear maroon pants or only seniors can wear black pants.

I have been hearing from so many of you who worked hard just to reach this final year and feel like the maroon pants tradition is a necessary reward for that effort. The administration remains quiet for now but your support proves that this is about more than just clothes.

Seeing this much support for our senior tradition proves just how much these maroon pants mean to all of us who earned them. I never thought so many people would back our fight to protect this piece of our history at McKinley Tech.

bruh honestly freshman walkin around lookin like seniors is just weird. keep the tradition for the ppl who actually put in the work.
