Graduation was always on a Friday. Senior breakfast, Senior skits... Then the afternoon off before graduation. Why mess with this now?

Friday night on Memorial weekend worksbest for the majority of people involved and gives people time to get there and send the weekend with their families.

I was sad to find out my brother would be walking to get his diploma on a later date than when I graduated. The date graduation has been being held at is the most convenient date.

There is no reason for graduation to be pushed back, you don't do anything the last few weeks of school anyways.

What reasons have been given for the change? As church attenders, I do not like a school event of such importance being held on a Sunday. It will also change how families and students celebrate this event...will students want to have graduation parties BEFORE graduation? By having it on a Sunday, you also limit celebrations that can happen on the Saturday before. If state requirements are met, why would you not release these students as soon as you can?
