The town finally granted our request for the downtown course. I am exhausted from the back and forth but relieved we can keep the route where it belongs. Thanks for sticking by me through these months of uncertainty.

Final supporters
Hello friends,
The 14th annual Turkey ROCK Trot is back again and is now the largest running race in Castle Rock thanks to all of your support! We would like to keep the race course same as last year, starting at the DC Event Center, flowing to the downtown streets of Castle Rock, and finishing back at the DC Event Center. We believe this helps promote awareness of our cause, and accommodates the larger crowds since the event is growing to now 3,000 participants. All of the proceeds from our event are given to the Douglas Elbert Task Force, a 501c3 helping families through hard times. In fact, we are the largest fundraiser of the year for the DE Task Force.
The town of Castle Rock requires us to collect signatures from every business that will be impacted by the street closures. Since the event is Thanksgiving morning we hope that the impact is small since most local businesses are usually closed.
We do see this as a great opportunity for you to come out and cheer runners on from your local business storefront - 3000 free impressions for you. I am also making special arrangements for all impacted businesses to get involved with Turkey ROCK Trot at significant discounts. Call me for details:

The amount of support we have gathered has been exhausting to chase but seeing this level of momentum proves we are on the right path. It is difficult to keep track of these demands while logistics pile up yet I am still here at my desk pushing forward for the task force.
