This is absolutely crazy to even consider splitting up families for rezoning purposes. I'm a Trails resident and I am completely against splitting kids to different high schools. FISD needs to rethink this one because they got it wrong. I am for same house, same school. This would look bad on Frisco for all the new families that are considering moving here. How upsetting would that be for a family looking to move (or having just moved) to Frisco because of the businesses building and transferring, and the "exemplary" schools our city has to offer, only to find out they will be split. Keep Frisco strong, keep the kids and their friends together. Keep it same house, same school!

I have a child at Wakeland now and one in her last year at Cobb. I DO NOT want to the attending different high schools. It's also a logistical nightmare trying to get them to school and extra curricular activities.

Splitting families between two schools is a bad idea. Ultimately, it results in a lower quality of education for each child as parents will have to split there time between schools and activities. Every study I have every seen shows there is an extremely strong correlation between educational achievement and parent involvement.
