We moved to The Trails 2 years ago. Our decision to move here was heavily weighted on the fact that our kids would go to Wakeland High School. Although my oldest in in 7th grade and at this time based on the new proposal would stay at Wakeland, I can't imagine what it would be like for those families who will be split up. Who's to say that the ISD can't do this again if we allow it now. Say "no" to temporary rezoning.

This zoning proposal is terrible. Both for the Trails kids and the Park Place/Vilage Lakes kids. KEEP THE KIDS IN THEIR FEEDER PATTERN! Keep them with their community and their support system! I love Frisco but hate what they think is ok to do to our kids!

I'm in the Wakeland band which is one of the most recognized a nd prestigious in the state if Texas and to go from this to a school with no marching band, and a most likely low level band program due to the fact that it is made up of only freshman and sophomores, would be devastating.

My son is in 8th grade and daughter is in 6th grade. IF this rezoning occurs as drafted, they will not be able to attend high school together. How can you break families apart? I do understand that it will be impossible to make everyone happy, but breaking families up has to be one of the most drastic outcomes of any of the proposals.

Our children are not numbers. The Trails kids are future Wakeland Wolverines. No temporary assignments or you will cause mass housing relocation because of your decision.
