There are so many walkers, dog walkers, runners, elderly folks & little kids that live in and around Mahtomedi the speed limit needs to be 20mph. We also have recent Neighbors that have moved in near us that drive really fast down our street it would be nice if the speed limit was reduced or enforced.

Can’t wait to start using the trail, but I am very concerned about my safety given how fast people are driving and their in attention to the road. This is a great asset to our community and it should be safe enough for families to enjoy and use it safely.

I welcome lowering the speed limits as most drivers seem to go 5-10 mph faster than the limit posted.

I live on Old Wildwood Rd and the 30mph speed limit is way too fast. There are way too many pedestrians using this road for recreational purposes and safety is a huge concern. The lowering of the speed limit is necessary and will contribute to an overall safer community.

30 mph on Mahtomedi’s residential streets is much too fast and creates risk for pedestrians, bicyclists, kids and dogs.

Many of the small streets in Mahtomedi should be limited to 5 mph! These streets are narrow, without sidewalks, and are frequented by children, seniors, and pets. Safety should be the emphasis.

I support this initiative and hope the new limit will be quickly adopted.

People use 69th St. N. as access to and from Ideal and drive right by the park filled with kids way to fast. The number of times we have to yell at people to slow down is awful.

I am a student at OH Anderson Elementary and I would like to have a safe route to school for walking.
