The men of the 14th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles (Y.C.V.) fought in the Great War that was the Battle of the Somme. Most of the men made the ultimate sacrifice on theat 1st July morn when they charged the German lines. These men paved the way for our future so we could be free. The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland seem to forget this and have refused the Standard of the Y.C.V. Brigade by claiming that it is an illegal Standard and a paramilitary organization. Those men at the Somme were no paramilitaries, they were soldiers. Its time the G.O.L.S. woke up to this and forget about what other people think of them and start thinking about their own people. I would like to G.O.L.S. to lift this ban immediatley and start paying respect. MAY HEAVEN KEEP THE MEN THAT SLEEP, IN THE Y.C.V. BRIGADE.
