John Massey has served 37 years in prison, he is the longest serving prisoner in the u.k. He has recently been in the news,as the murderer who escaped from pentonville prison. Four years ago he was given parole, he was told that he could reside with his sister, at the eleventh hour they changed this to a hostel, where he would be under curfew for a few weeks to " get him used to being a free man" John had to report back to the hostel by 11p.m. Our father then took seriously ill, and the family were all called to say our goodbyes at the Royal Free Hospital. The hostel was informed, but refused John the right to stay with his dad, the whole family stayed by my dad's beside, until he passed away, As John Massey left the hospital the police surrounded him and re-arrested him, all the actual details you would have read in the tabloids. He was put into pentonville prison where he has stayed for a further 4 years until his escape. I would like you to sign this petition for John Massey's release, he is now 64 years old, a further parole review has been refused, if my father had not died, john would still be a free man, why after giving him parole, could the authorities not also give him compassion, and understanding that an 11p.m curfew in the case of his father be waived??? John was not allowed to attend his dad's funeral and pay his last respects` John's sister has also subsequently passed away, John was not allowed to see her, or again attend her funeral. Our mother is 86 years of age now, and very poorly, Help bring John home before it's too late for them both.
