We the undersigned members of the Paisley Johnstone & District Youth Football League urgently call upon the Scottish Youth Football Association to review the current player pathway rules for the 2000 age group and allow these teams to play developmental 11-a-side football from March 2012. We believe that this is a natural path of player development and would allow clubs sufficient time to prepare for the competitive season that will start in August 2012.

My lad has been asking when they change to 11s for months. Makes total sense to start in March so they have time to adjust.

The boys are ready for full pitch now. Playing small sided is holding their development back and they need to learn the system before August.

Ridiculous that they have to wait until the last minute. Get it sorted SYFA

These kids are growing up fast. Let them play the proper game already.

About time. Every other league is moving forward but we are stuck in the past here. Let the boys play 11 a side.
