I Cant Believe 1080 is still used !! Shame on you DOC ! Why is this still used? when other humane ways and chemicals can be used! This Is Wrong ! and NEEDS to be STOPPED ! WHY kill off a Higher % of our Protected Native wildlife, When Such a smaller % would be killed if other ways and means were used. 1080 is Not the right Chemical to be using for... See More the controlling of numbers for Possums, Send the hunters in to collect for market/retail purposes. rather than kill more than what needs to be of our PROTECTED Wildlife. Soon we will be seeing on the News, statements being made such like ! The Kiwi Soon To Be Extinct! - Tui Soon To Be Extinct! Etc and so on. If 1080 is not Band, Mark my words ... you will see these headlines coming up !

It is just lazy management. We have hunters who would happily do the work and keep the numbers down without blanketing the land in poison.

My dog died because of this poison and the council just didnt care. Its a nightmare for everyone who lives near the bush.

1080 is cruel and outdated. Stop poisoning our beautiful forests and killing the birds we are trying to protect. Use traps instead.
