Willow Tree Tower, Halifax

This is the best corner in the city to build a 29 storey building!

If the Developer has done a feasibility study which shows that the project requires a 29 storey structure to make it a viable project I fully support this. Halifax will never be a "big city" with this "small town" mentality. What difference does it make to HRM to go from 20 to 29 stories? It's not like the last 9 stories will make any difference to the surrounding properties. If they can meet other regulations such as parking requirements and set-backs then it should be approved and built.

I support the Willow Tree Tower Proposal!

I support this development, and all development in our city. It creates good jobs, urban core density and stimulates our economy. Don't let the vocal minority nimbys have the final say.

A vocal few shouldn't be allowed to slow the city's progress, simply because they don't like something in their neighborhood. If not here, then where is an appropriate area for this type of development?

Arbitrary height restrictions hurt this city

Multi story, high density, new developments are crucial to the relevancy of this city and the survival of our tax base. Exhausting process these developers seem to have to go through everytime they want to build a new project in downtown Halifax. Projects like this and others would be embraced in Moncton, Sydney, Fredericton, St John's.

lets change our city into 21 century. We have to stand against negativity and put our city where it belongs one of the best in the world

We should be moving forward in upgrading our city structures.

Halifax says "Be Bold" then this type of project reflects that new attitude! We need this type of development! Either you are bold or not!

I believe this beautifully designed building will be regarded as one of the finest examples of architecture in Halifax and will inspire many. I completely support the project!

Cities must grow up not out. Urban sprawl is an issue not a solution.

This is a beautiful project that APL is purposing and I don't understand why people have an issue , if they are concerned about the shadow on the commons area than why did HRM allow the oval on the other end , no concerns with that I bet, this will improve the quinpool road appearance which Quinpool Road needs it as the street is getting old and tired . Go APL

This development will be on a busy intersection, well served by public transit and on the edge of a thriving business district. Build it the planned size and allow people to live in the city.

I support the proposal for this development and higher density in this area generally and across the peninsula. The city should be promoting taller buildings and providing incentive for more of this kind of development. It provides the most efficient delivery of services to citizens from the government, and brings more people closer to already established infrastructure. The tax revenue generated can be used to establish more parks, better municipal services, and creates a spin off effect that should not be overlooked.

We live in a city, towers are expected to be the norm. This tower will be a vast improvement to the current building its replacing.

Let's make a statement. Was always so disappointed that the Twisted Sisters building was a No Go. A loss for Halifax
