On February 28, 1995, Traci Lords released her debut studio album, 1000 Fires. The album's Juno Reactor-produced lead single "Control" paked at number two on the Billboard Hot Dance chart and was featured on the soundtrack to the film Mortal Combat earning her double platinum certification by RIAA.
