I pay for private recycling and I’d love for my neighbors to get into the habit as well, which they would with curbside pick up. As a county, we should be looking at opening a regional recycling center to make money off the trash that’s alreasy being sent here. We can’t keep sending it to China... they stopped taking it. Let’s be forward thinking and be a leader in this!

The city of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County are being environmentally irresponsible by not having a recycling program that picks up from residents weekly.

To encourage recycling, offer recyclers a discounted rate on city utilities to help cover fees to private recycling companies. It would discourage sending recyclables to the landfill.
