On August 30, 2025 Davant was involved in a shooting in which he defended himself and his mother. This is a way to speak on his behalf. This is a way to speak on his character. The day before the shooting, Davant graduated from a pre-apprenticeship program called “Construction Ready.” There he learned about the ins and outs of Construction Safety, Finacial Literacy, and different Trades that exist in the construction industry. He gained over 8 credentials with this program. But that’s just his most recent work. Prior to that Vant worked as a mechanic, where he learned various skills such as doing an oil change or changing tires out for customers. He is an asset for our community. Davant has never been arrested. Davant hasn’t been involved in any crime whatsoever. He is a young man striving for greatness and should be able to put this chapter behind him as soon as possible. Anyone who signs this petition can agree that Davant is a great person, a skilled individual, he is someone that moves with purpose even through adversity.
