in 2000, world leaders promised universal quality education by 2015. over the past 12 years the number of children not in school has dropped by 50 million. But with just 3 years to go there are still 67 million children missing out on school and more than half of them are girls. $16 billion a year will be enough to send children in low income countries to school.
