This is ridiculous, the sign adds character and charm to our little town. It's not offensive, unlike some of the larger new buildings that are going in.

This is the cutest bagel ever! A mural or interesting facade signals that a place was cared about. We love Max and Theodores! Blank walls and unadorned facades read as cold or unfinished. It creates civic pride and a shared reference point. "Meet me at the mural on Marina! We love you MAX!

With very little time in the community (compared to other businesses), Theodore’s Fine Foods has become a really beloved establishment.
The artwork featured outside their business is nice and it’s not an inconvenience or an eyesore.

I personally dislike illegible and hard-to-read signs, but why on earth would this "keep government off our backs" and "no HOA rules" community spend one trying to interfere with a business's choices?
Maybe there's an interest in keeping Whiskey Row looking like an old-timey saloon street, or preserving historic buildings at the Sharlott Hall Museum, but this seems like bureaucratic over-reach.
