Is it offensive? No not from my point of view. Let businesses evolve and do what they think is best. Just because someone in code or city council doesn’t like something doesn’t make it bad. There are other big fish to fry and worry about.

Its important for a business to have an identity or branding that sticks out. We have alot of visitors that come through Prescott, but know body knows where anything is. The locals don't even know. Its just that same old building. It hurts the changes of a new small business making it in this town. 3 murals that date back over 60 years have been discovered under the sheet rock on Whisky Row. There all considered "Signage". Because even then they knew how impotent it was brand.

I love the new sign for Theodore’s and do NOT see if as a nuisance. A few of the billboards that are around town are way bigger and not pleasing

The City of Prescott’s priorities are seriously misplaced. It seems anything new, creative, and attractive becomes a battle, while dilapidated buildings, neglected properties, tall weeds, trash, and deteriorating homes are allowed to remain. The City is focusing its attention on removing a nice mural at Theodore’s—something that actually adds character. The City should focus its enforcement efforts on genuine blight and neglect—not on forcing a local business to remove a mural. Leave it alone!!

I think that the mural is acceptable for signage, branding, and visual interest and the business owner should be allowed to have it on the building.
