We own a pharmacy and our gross sales are usually high if we will high prices brand medications( on which we get reimbursed below wholesale price). This artificially inflated our sales, but in reality we are not making profits reflecting to our gross sales. Pharmacies are one of the businesses which should be exempt from this tax, specifically because the reason mentioned above.

Taxes go up, and it’s not enough. Taxes will continue to go up and it will never be enough. Higher taxes require ordinary people to do more with less. It’s time for the county to do the same.

We own a small business and can barley keep the bottom line with all the taxes and how much supplies has sky rocketed. We don't need any more taxes which will force us to close our doors. The little business can't survive nowadays and just keep getting pushed out.

As a consumer I can’t afford for these costs to go up. If they have a higher taxes it’s passed to the consumer.

The cost of just living in Stafford County has risen so much since my arrival here in 1993, I am giving serious consideration to moving out of the county. Almost any other county in Virginia or another state would be like getting a significant pay raise.

I'm a small business owner and live in Stafford. My property taxes have increased over 50% in the last few years and I pay rent in my small business as well. I employ three people here. More tax would force me to reduce their payraises and of course mine. This is an unnecessary burden on small business who bring revenue to the county.
