I believe the tax would hurt small businesses and does nothing to help the Stafford citizens. Better management of current tax money that is received by the State should be more than enough to manage to state budget. Stopping the waste and fraud would help the budget.

We live in a 55+ community. Many of us are on limited incomes. Putting higher taxes on the local businesses makes makes me want to drive a little further to a neighboring county even though I know I'd be hurting our local businesses.

I only live in Stafford because I visit the few small businesses that exist. If these businesses shut down due to an increase on taxes- there will be no reason to stay here. There are no other benefits to this town. Do not impose this tax.

If Stafford is truly “open for business”, this is not a demonstration of such. Businesses are already absorbing costs (supplies, transportation, etc) - everything has gone up in price, this shouldn’t be an added burden.

This tax will cause many small businesses to fail. They cannot afford this tax on top of all the other taxes they pay. Come on Stafford County…look out for the small businesses who are trying to make a living for their families. Stop giving all the breaks to the Data Centers.
