This potential tax increase will hurt the people who live in Stafford County. We're already being taxed to the hilt. People get pay raises only to have it taken away with tax increases. Mortgage payments goes up, people's livehood decreases because having to pay more. If you keep going up on taxes not only will businesses leave, but people will move out of this county. The decision to raise taxes should be put to vote by the people who will be impacted by it. Not you.

Cause obviously we don’t need any more tax hikes, but I’m gonna tell you right now they’re still gonna vote in favor of it. That is what the BOS does every one of them. Only three of them on the board care about the citizens.

I feel that a tax increase at this time is ridiculous considering the amount of data centers and warehouses and other facilities coming in should more than compensate for additional taxes that Stafford supposedly needs. It is always the first answer to all dilemmas is increased taxes on the public at large while big companies or data centers. Probably get tax breaks in abundance.

Higher taxes for businesses, increases higher taxes to the consumers. BPOL is a disadvantage tax for small businesses. Maybe not for large corporations, but small businesses could decline.
Also, the senior citizens who lives in Stafford County on fixed incomes, it seems that this county's government is not taking into consideration its long time residents who have helped to build this county by contributing to its prosperity. If Stafford wants to be blessed, remember your senior citizens.

I have personally known people who left Stafford for high business taxes already, and they want to make it worse. Want to be a "certified business location" like the sign says? Stop pushing people south.

We don't need higher taxes, that's why Stafford (especially off of 610) is starting to look like a dying city. With all the empty office buildings and store front and don't get me started on the Aquia or Garrisonville projects. We need business to come not to move out.
