The HOA shouldn’t have overreach when it comes to our family time.

In my opinion this amendment goes beyond the acceptable reach of the board. Redirect your focus to matters of actual importance, such as the petty squabble with MUD over who will tend to the overgrown dilapidated spaces within our community.

So ridiculous there has to be a petition just to allow kids to play baseball and softball in their own yards. We practice in our backyard with a net and I’ve never had a single complaint from any neighbor.

This rule crosses the line and over steps a homeowners rights.

The nets are to protect property and keep our kids outside and practicing their sport. I don’t see the reasoning to ban Sports nets.

This is ridiculous that a ban on child development is being considered. Sports are an integral part of growing up.

Next HOA rule: No running, no jumping, and absolutely no fun allowed. 😂

There is nothing for teenagers to do in this neighborhood. This is not a 55+ neighborhood either most people here have families and children. I dont see what the issue is for have a sports net, batting cage or whatever we want in our back yard. Most people work and dont have time after work to take their kids a hour away round trip to practice. Its not hurting anything being in the back yard.

The plan to ban sporting nets in the backyard of a private home is ridiculous. If the homeowner is using it within reasonable hours why ban it?

There is nothing in this neighborhood for teens and young teens to do. The baseball field in the neighborhood is geared towards very young children. There are a lot of families in the neighborhood with young teens that do play sports that would like to practice, but have no place to do it in the neighborhood and there’s nothing wrong with having it at their house. This isn’t a 55+ neighborhood and sometimes it seems that’s what the board wants. It’s a neighborhood with young families.

Tired of the HOA taking their rules too far

Part of being an American is FREEDOM. It is absurd to dictate what sports families are allowed to participate in in their own backyards. As a community, we should encourage children to play outside, get active, and parental involvement. Let’s worry about the constant soliciting, vandalisms, break ins, and all the other possibilities before worrying about what people are doing in their own backyards.

I live here and plan on starting a family here. I would like my children to be able to choose which activities they would like without having unnecessary regulations

There are no play structures available for teens in our neighborhood. Allowing for sports netting and cages allows for families to provide a safe place for their kids to practice and have fun; thus decreasing the boredom that could result in teens getting into trouble.
