I am a huge fan of Firehouse Tales, the animated preschool series originally created by Sidney J. Bailey and produced by Warner Bros. Animation. The series holds a special place in my childhood because of its memorable anthropomorphic fire-engine characters, including Red, Petrol, Crabby, and Chief, and because it taught young viewers meaningful lessons about teamwork, courage, responsibility, perseverance, friendship, cooperation, problem-solving, and helping others in their community.

My specific request is for Warner Bros. Animation, Cartoon Network, the appropriate rights holders, producers, broadcasters, streaming services, and other relevant creative partners to seriously consider developing and producing an all-new revival of Firehouse Tales, preferably for an early-to-mid 2028–2030 release window. I am not asking for the original series to be erased, replaced, or forgotten. Rather, I am asking for its legacy to be continued and celebrated while introducing the world of Firehouse Tales to a completely new generation of preschool viewers.

The revival could preserve the heart, humor, characters, educational philosophy, and community-minded spirit of the original series while giving it an exciting new visual identity. My proposed concept is a 2D/3D hybrid animation style: the human characters, buildings, scenery, props, environments, and background locations could be redesigned and rendered in colorful 2D animation, while Red, Petrol, Crabby, Chief, and the other vehicle characters could retain their recognizable 3D CGI cel-shaded appearance, with updated models, smoother animation, expressive performances, and more fluid movement. The overall visual approach could be reminiscent in spirit of Team Umizoomi and/or Little Einsteins while still establishing a unique Firehouse Tales identity.

I would also love to see the original talent honored wherever realistically possible. In particular, I hope Jesse Moss could reprise Red, Michael Adamthwaite could return in his respective role, and Richard Ian Cox could reprise Crabby. The original opening theme could remain substantially recognizable, using the principal composition associated with Stephen R. McCarthy and Julia Robert, with a refreshed arrangement/remix by Tim Hill and a new vocal performance by Imagination Movers.

New episodes could continue using the firefighting-school premise to teach children about cooperation, communication, patience, safety, kindness, resilience, responsibility, perseverance, and learning from mistakes. Red, Petrol, Crabby, Chief, and their fellow vehicles could encounter new emergencies, challenges, adventures, and everyday situations in which they learn that being a hero is not about being perfect—it is about helping others, working together, trying again, and refusing to give up.

I am also asking that the original series and its history be respected and preserved. The revival should celebrate the original cast, crew, characters, artwork, music, production history, and educational legacy rather than allowing the original Firehouse Tales to disappear from public awareness.

Warner Bros. Animation and all appropriate rights holders and creative partners: please consider giving Firehouse Tales another chance. Help bring Red, Petrol, Crabby, Chief, and their fellow vehicles back to the screen, preserve what made the original special, and build upon its foundation with new stories, new adventures, and a fresh visual presentation.
