I'm from Madoc but often attend events in Stirling that are organized by the BIA. It would be a travesty not only to the community but to frequent visitors of Stirling if the BIA was dissolved.

I find myself still unaware of the details of Council's proposal to disband the BIA. Lots of FB outrage (that's the easy shtt) but not a lot of clarity.
So yes please, let's read the details, how such a decision is supposed to be a good thing.
I do express strong support for continuation of the Market(s) and similar activities.

I feel our community needs these events for socialization,exposure to local businesses and to bring community together.Our community events draw people from all over,thus supporting our village.We especially enjoyed the Christmas market.

This BIA needs to keep going cause they make the town stay on the map of places to visit. Isn't Stirling the little town with the Big Heart?? Where is that heart now?? No visitors...no support for businesses. Really dumb move getting rid of the BIA. Once it's gone, it's gone for good.

Small towns should be supporting all local shopping. This is an absolute shame considering there are a lot of people who care, are trying here. Have some heart and show this community what unity, being a neighbour, and supporting people is all about

The BIA creates events that draw attention and large numbers of visitors and tourism dollars into our community. This should be commended not condemned! We need more volunteers like our business owners that believe in what our community has to offer. I just our Council had the same vision.
