The square is known by all of us in the area, and those not from here! It’s a feature of the area, a home for wildlife and a breath of fresh at amongst all the development happening everywhere. It’s home to countless animals and plants and needs to be saved at all costs!

It's a great place for walk or a horseback ride. In the midst of civilization, a walk in the Square feels like getting away from it all to enjoy nice trails and natural habitat. It's like a precious secret hiding in plain sight.

I’ve lived very near it for 33 years and rode my horses and mules there many a time and the integrity of this space must be preserved.

We moved out here to have these open spaces. There is a lot of habitat for the wild animals and is a great space for recreation whether it be walking or horseback riding.

This is why we purchased a home in Desert Hills. Access to trails for horseback riding was a very important decision factor when we were looking to purchase a home.

This is a safe place to ride horses in the community. Roads have become progressively more dangerous as we’ve had higher numbers of people moving in our community that are not horse friendly. It’s also a nice safe place to walk dogs and it helps keep our area cooler. It’s a safe space for wild animals as well

This is so very important that we try and preserve the true nature of our equestrian community and lifestyle this area was built upon. Equestrian properties and equestrian activities that so many enjoy and want to continue enjoying while staying safe.

All the development around here is unsustainable. So many people have used the square for recreation, it would be devastating to lose it to more houses.

I have lived in Desert Hills off and on for a decade, and it is getting crowded. Horses, and their people, need room to stretch their legs

I am a horse owner & I have horse pens on my own property, but nowhere to ride, so I have to trailer my horses to exercise them at the square multiple times per week.
We as a community need this to stay the way it is
