I am a roaming sailor and service area definitions of SL are not necessarily match political areas nor typical sailing areas - in particular in the Caribbean.

To put it simply, this is a step backwards, not forwards, for the cruising community. We need tailwinds, not headwinds.

We live full time on our yacht, slowly traveling around the worlld for the past 10 years. Starlink has been an amazing game changer for weather, navigation, safety and security. The 90 day rule will hinder cruisers from re-registering, and the priority option far too expensive. We ask Elon Musk to remove the 90 day clause.

I have been a loyal customer and have been happy with the service. I have been cruising full time for 4 years and have been sailing through multiple countries where it just wouldn’t be possible to constantly re register my account.

For the sailors starlink is vital Espace my in Polynésie. We don t have an other operator in some ilands. Starlink is our safety. Change the contract is going to be very expensive and for a lot of people not possible to buy. The safety can’t be a question of money.

Starlink user cruising the Caribbean, currently in Grenada where Starlink is NOT AVAILABLE. Within a 48 hour sail we may pass through 3 or 4 countries. The entire Carribean region should be equal to Europe or North America for the location rules.
