When we start with starlink, the Region we booked was called north america, which includes all caribean beside Columbia. Then it was changed to a global travel with restriction, that Starlink can force you to change country if you stay with a "Low cost" contract in a "high cost" country fair enough. Now caribean is splitted in individual countries, where I need to Go Back to my home country every 30 days. This is not possible. So either kindly ask to skip the 90 days country change or old region

We are live-aboard sailors on the yacht Cape Petrel, sailing Malaysia, Indonesia, PNG and the South Pacific, working remotely with several crew aboard. Roam was the only plan that worked for us. The 30-day limit and 90-day transfer lock make no sense for cruisers, who must move on when their 30-day visas expire, and the 50Gb priority plan gets burned through too quickly. Starlink has made our lifestyle possible, but these new plan structures are a big problem for us.

I am starting a circumnavigation and had planned on using my mini for internet access. Tried to upgrade my plan to roam unlimited to at least get off shore data but can't even do that due to "capacity" whatever that means. Maritime plans are unavailable for the mini so can't even switch to that. Starlink has totally messed up my plans.

I'd like Starlink to reconsider global roaming options for cruisers, remote digital nomads and the wider sailing community. The 90-day restriction makes Starlink prohibitively expensive for those travelling between countries, sometimes staying only a few days. Many cruisers don't have unlimited funds, and this can turn an essential service into a luxury.

Karibik must be one Region at least. The islands are too close together. Otherwise all sailors need to have 4 dishes and four contracts or will quitt and use Digicell Sim, which delivers unlimited data for Euro 29,90 a month.

The reduction of the 90 day transfer limit is the only way to make Starlink an affordable way to access Internet for those of us who cruise between different countries. It’s an arbitrary limit that exists only to make more money for the company with no customer benefit.
