Few institutions have the historical significance of The Bottom Line, and is a beloved tourist destination. Its legacy should be honored and preserved.

Because I’m old enough to remember the bottom line and seem shows there and I know how iconic the bottom line was. I was shocked and broken heart and when it closed and this seems like a fitting and deserved it tribute to The Bottom Line. I don’t even want think of a Musical world without Bruce Springsteen! Thank you, Allan for putting so many musicians on the map! Or as you would say “The rest is history!”

An iconic NYC music room.
Stars performed and future stars were born there.
Plus the French fries were pretty good.

The Bottom Line was a great place. A center spot of energy, it is where I met my guy at a Patti Smith show.
It’s still so cool.
I teach at NYU and when I pass it with my students I always share stories with the about THE BOTTOM LINE.
We need a plaque, maybe one with a soundtrack attached.

I had the honor of singing backup at The Bottom Line in several different bands, but also the joy of being in the audience for so many others - Seeing Laura Nyro on stage there was probably my favorite memory💕
We need a way to celebrate what a gift the club was to the music community as well as to all of New York City

The Bottom Line was a fine cultural institution which deserves to be honored. I'm now in CA but saw hundreds of shows there before I left NYC.

This recognition is long overdue. The Bottom Line was the BEST place to see and hear live music. It's the club I miss the most. And, I'm so grateful for the many musical memories so many of us hold so dearly. (Don't forget to read Allan's book!)

From the 80s through it's closure it was one of my favorite music venues. For 10 years I lived over on 2nd Ave at 4th St & saw many, many great shows.
It had a great and far-reaching impact - a friend in Philadelphia who never made it to a show there new it because (said reverently) The Boss played there!
It was an amazing place that deserves a memorial.

It was and unfortunately still is the best place to see a live performance in NYC. Still unmatched.
